David Heinemeier Hansson (@dhh), the creator of Ruby on Rails, gave a great talk to participants at Bitmaker Labs (@bitmakerlabs) recently. In the talk, David speaks about his New York Times bestselling book “Remote“, which is based on his experience working remotely with top web designers all over the world.
In a climate where Yahoo! CEO Marissa Mayer doubles down on working at the office, David goes the other way and pushes for freedom from geographic locations for his employees. In a short 45 minutes, he explains his thoughts, approaches and tactical implementation to remote working, and speaks very candidly on the issues that he sees plaguing the tech industry.
